Welcome to our 3rd installment of documenting weekly gaming events in North County. As mentioned before, we’ve tried to improve this a little bit each week and we’re doing a large format change this week. Let us know if it’s successful in the comments or by emailing NorthCountyGamers760@gmail.com.
This week, as a companion piece to this post, we created a Weekly Recurring Gaming Events master list. We’ll be using that post as a base for this (and future) update(s) and add in the special events and remove canceled events. The current plan is to not send this master list to our email list for future posts, but instead send a shorter recap email that will give you a link to view the event list. We went to be considerate of your time and only send important & efficient emails that actually fit in your browser.
Let’s talk about gaming events! The big event this week is the release of Magic: The Gathering newest set, Foundations.
This set is a 50/50 split of new cards and reprints of cards from previous sets and is meant to give the player a core set of cards that will be tournament legal for the next 5 years. If you’re a lapsed player or brand new to Magic: The Gathering, this is the perfect place to jump into the hobby. There a ton of events celebrating this set launch, most notably at at Pair A Dice Games as they're having 3 events for this release, so go check one out.
