Friday Morning Gaming Newsletter - Xbox LAN Party #2
And a boardgame event next week that you should go to.
Good Morning everyone!
Let’s jump right into the big gaming events this week. As always, you can view the full list of events by clicking here.
Pokemon League Challenge
The big event this weekend is the Pokemon League Challenge at On-Board Gaming in Escondido on Saturday, February 15! It’s an official Pokemon TCG that can have up to 48 entrants. The biggest Pokemon TCG event of the year so far.
Game Night at The Roading Brewing Company
Next up on the list is Game Night at The Roadies Brewing Company on Tuesday, February 19. This event is hosted by the Let’s Play A Game Foundation and they always put on a great event. They’ll have a variety of games available to play and they’re incredibly helpful with teaching rules to make sure you’re able to have a great time with a new game.
Xbox LAN Party and Halo Competition #2
And finally is our 2nd Xbox LAN Party and Halo Competition at Weir Beer on Wednesday, February 19. We had a great response to our first time running this event and we’re expecting this Wednesday’s event to be much bigger.
We did have a question about which Halo we run for this event, so we made this handy video to explain:
The real answer for which Halo we play is that we use the Master Chief Collection and will do Slayer mode (everyone for themselves) on Halo Reach for the first round. After that, we’ll spin The Wheel to determine the ruleset the players will be subjected to. This event was a goofy time and we can’t wait to do it again.
Thanks for taking the time to read this this newsletter. We hope you have a great weekend. If you play any games, post a picture on instagram and tag us our account @northcountygamers.
